Ditto. I remember …
Ditto. I remember finding out about TINP and reading all I could find about it one afternoon. I couldn’t sleep that night. Then I followed along with all the other TINPers for god knows how long. Spent quite a bit of time on the TINP forum, too. Good times.

Hey I’m still online. I tend to not connect to msn anymore. Sorry about the myspace thing, I went through and cleared out a bunch of people if I hadn’t heard from them in awhile. Sorry man, just re-add me. just search me on there.

man you ruined it. …
man you ruined it. it sucks to think it was just made by some guy without some deeper purpose or meaning to it all. unless… is this actually a really elaborate clue? are there hidden messages in the video? is post-apocalyptic romantic comedy really a code for something?????

This provided many hours of entertainment.
Please tell me you do have the originals still backed up somewhere. I’m sure you could find *someone* to host it for you, if not I would =)
Also, Tell us what film it is and we (the collective fan base) will most probably support it any way we can to say “thanks for all the fish”

I understand, I’m …
I understand, I’m sorry but I just can’t make more right now because my life is to busy with work and finishing a new film. I wrote and directed a post-apocalyptic romantic comedy about nuclear winter and it’s my main focus right now.

I think though… …
I think though… for a website with over 20,000 past visitors who all liked the puzzle, if you asked for donations, you’d get them.
Especially if you promise new levels :]

Sorry everybody. …
Sorry everybody. The site has gone away. I recently finished shooting a new film and it cost me 15000 dollars mostly on credit cards. I’m now everything I make has to go to paying that back. Trust me though, the new film will be worth it.

Oh, wow. I remember …
Oh, wow. I remember this. There was at least one thread on thisisnotporn in just about every major forum on the internet. I was psyched when the official forum finally opened up. I don’t think I’ve ever been so creeped out by a website, but it made for good conversation material. A friend of mine and I spent a few weeks working through the puzzles ourselves and gleaning information from others who had already solved a lot of the puzzles. Fun times!

Wow. Crazy. I spent …
Wow. Crazy. I spent hours with this puzzle, daring myself to play in the dark. It was this project that told me the interactivity of the Web makes way for a truly revolutionary kind of art.
It’s a bit disappointing, but also somehow relieving, to discover the whole thing was a joke.

Loved TINP. Even though it was just text/photos, the site had such an atmosphere.
Also got me into Haruki Murakami.

Man, and I thought that it was about that “ant mentality” study or whatever that someone (Bassic?) mentioned forever ago on the forums.
I’m also wishing I’d had the balls to call the phone number when it was first given to us. XD

It was really, …
It was really, really fun. A little bit of mystery in a world too big for me. It kinda sucks that there was no deeper meaning to it all, but it DID make for an interesting documentary.
… Even so, I still want to go back and poke and prod at all the little things, try to find a new door that has yet to be opened. Nice work, Mr Boruff!
Oh, and I’m sorry for posting so many comments.

It was a really …
It was a really entertaining time, though- I was totally addicted to thisisnotporn, even if I never solved any of the puzzles on my own. I remember when the audio on the homepage changed to that oldies tune with all those weird noises… That was a really exciting day, haha. Summer vacations were never so interesting. I learned a lot of weird little facts, too, like St John’s Wort, that fortune cookie tidbit, those songs, and the sheer magnitude of ASCII art. SHEESH, man!
