Part 1 of 2. Classic Game Room HD Hardware Review, Watch in High Definition! CGRHD reviews the ColecoVision from Coleco released in 1982. It rivals the NES in many ways and certainly handed the Atari 2600 its own with superior arcade conversions and action packed old school video games. For retro gamers today the Colecovision is stil highly enjoyable to play because of the quality of the video games available on it. Coleco didn’t mess around, sure it’s ugly, but it’s awesome! Originallyt the Colecovision came packaged with Nintendo’s Donkey Kong if you can believe that… Classic Game Room reviews old school and retro video game hardware, systems, controllers and consoles. Its a nice system but its hard to find a good working unit. Wonky power supplies, fragile joystick ports, and a finiky cart port and carts.

I dont know, …
I dont know, considering the NES took about 15 years to reach the 60 million mark, and that the Wii took only two years to reach 45 million, I think the Wii will beat it in the next few years, and may be the console to beat the Playstation(s) once the price drops and a larger surplus of hardware comes about.

Satellaview was a Japan-only feature. Unless you’re Japanese and 20+ years old (today), you never really had the opportunuty to play it.

PC w/ modem beats all yall.
But for game consoles, I’ve read about an online service that was on the Intellivision. Might not count because I think that was just to download games, not to play against other people.
Don’t have first hand knowledge of it though.

Never owned one, but from seeing pictures this is indeed a great looking console. I rank it with the original Genesis/Sega-CD combo (the front loading monster, not the revised cheaper one).
