I believe this is determined by the home team. The Red Sox had a suspended game a couple weeks ago and the fans with tickets for the original game were out of luck. They did not get to go to the conclusion of the game. Fans with tickets for the scheduled game that night got to see the conclusion as well as the regularly scheduled game.

You need to contact the individual team to find out what the policy is.
References :
From what i have been told, it is over half of the NHL regular season games (41+) or if you played or dressed as an active player in just one Stanley Cup 'Final' game, not a playoff game! You will find a lot of players in NHL's past to have this happened which is unfortunate. The 1993 Stanley Cup finals brings this situation upfront. Jacques Demers, head coach of the habs, wanted to give Donald Dufresne the chance to have his name on the cup, but Dufresne having played part time most of the season and not in the playoffs, Demers asked Rob Ramage to sit out game 5 so he can add Dufresne to the roster only knowing Dufresne was not coming back next season. To be honest i don't recall all to well but i think Dufresne played only one shift which was like the last minute of the game. But in another situation Oleg Petrov played almost 30 games for Montreal that year and played a couple of playoff games in '93 for the habs but did not play in the finals so unfortunately he could not get his name on the cup, but oddly i was told he was still entitled to get a stanley cup ring!
