One of the puzzles was a spider web blocking a doorway. Another puzzle was tombstones on a cake in the dining room. This was a great game with unusual puzzles to solve and I never got to finish it.
Since I no longer have access to this Mac, if the game is on PC, it would be great.

I believe you are referring to "The Seventh Guest". It is still available sometimes on ebay or such, but I don't think there are any new versions.

I'm helping students (~15 years old) write a questionaire for use in interviewing adults about local history. Before we start, I want to play some games such as 'Twenty questions' to illustrare different types of question (eg open / closed, etc).

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

well theres games like cluedo and guess, and hangman who which are closed questions because they have a limited number of answers to select from,

and then you could do things like circle time where you ask open questions such as whats your favourite colour and why.

I saw on youtube that someone had posted “The Puzzle Place” theme song and it made me want to take a stroll down memory lane! Lolz.. I found one of my old videos that has 2 “Puzzle Place” episodes: “Rudy One” and “Accentuate the Positive” (also the title of the video!) I thought I’d upload the video so people can remember and enjoy what GOOD children’s television shows were like! Enjoy!

If anyone else has a copy of any of the other episodes can you upload them? Thank you.

ABSTRACT

In February of 2008, Matt Leacock released Pandemic, a board game where players cooperate to save the world from deadly diseases that threaten to wipe out humanity. The game has been enthusiastically received, with its first printing selling out in less than a month. Matt will discuss how being an interaction designer affected the game design process as well as how cooperative games can point to new models for engagement in online systems.

This is an online puzzle that has different difficulty levels. It has rows and columns of numbers that tell you how many squares of the grid on that line are colored in. You figure out which ones are colored in and it reveals a picture of something when you are finished.

Paint by Numbers (in GAMES Magazine)
Nonograms (in Japan where they came from)

I went to my friends house and put ipod games (monopoly and spore origins) on my ipod. Then I went to my house and bought another game (phase). When i try to put on phase it deleted monopoly and spore origins. Then, when i try to put monopoly and spore origins back on, it deletes phase. How can I have all three games on my ipod?

You can only sync your iPod with one library at a time. The only way to get all three games on your iPod would be to have them all loaded into the same iTunes library. I'm not sure how many computers you can authorize games on, I suspect it is probably only one. So you'd either need to save the file containing phase and remove it from your computer. Then add it to your friend's computer and authorize it there or vice versa. Keep in mind though, that for music you can only sync to one library as well and it has to be the same library as the one you use to sync your games.

The puzzle has 12320 pieces from which there are 308 diferent shapes of pieces, …so each shape has 40 pieces.
and each shape can be put in the puzzle in two different positions. Can someone help to find the quantity of variations to construct the puzzle not correctly?

dude… this one is a tuffy:

forget about correctly vs incorrectly… let's first talk about number of variations:

12320 pieces
2 positions for each placeable piece
40 pieces can be placed…

I might be wrong so doublecheck your answer but I think it's 2×40! (40 factorial - since once you place one of the pieces, there are only 39 to place and so on)… 2 times accounts for the two places per piece…

The 308 different shapes doesn't play into the formula since a particular shape can NOT be placed into the wrong shape place regardless of whether or not it belongs there.

Screw it - I have no idea but I'm going to post what I have in case it gives you a clue where to start. Good Luck!

I would like to play head to head games with my wife on our PS2 but I have not found any good titles.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what games are good to play between husband/wife or gf/bf?

My boyfriend and I love Tiger Woods golf, Guitar Hero, Madden, and The Sims. We have been togethr for 6 years and I believe the games help us relax and have fun together! A couple that plays together stays together!!!
